Mat Pilates and yoga classes are also offered on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings at 9 a.m. at an alternate location. Space is limited for morning classes, and advance sign-up is required.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
yoga - A vinyasa hatha flow class connecting movement with breath. We will explore sun salutations and basic yoga poses (asanas), as well as pranayama (breath work). We end each class with a guided relaxation to release tension in the body and mind. This class is approximately 60-75 minutes in length. No experience is necessary and all levels are welcome.
mat Pilates - This multi-level class focuses on strengthening the "powerhouse" - abdominals, lower back, glutes and hips - through a series of classic Pilates exercises performed standing, seated or while lying down on your back, side or front. Emphasis is on correct alignment, breathing, concentration, muscle control, precision and efficient sequencing of movement. In addition, we will use light (2-5 lb.) weights to strengthen and tone the arms, shoulders and upper back muscles. Classes are approximately 45-60 minutes in length. No prior experience is necessary. Participants are asked to bring their own light (2-5 lb.) hand weights to mat Pilates class.
strength+yoga fusion - This 45 minute class combines a series of traditional yoga poses with light weights (2-5 lbs.) for a total body sculpting workout. Strong emphasis is placed on proper body mechanics and alignment. Strength+yoga fusion is a fun, challenging way to increase functional strength and lean muscle mass, and improve balance and flexibility. Participants are asked to bring their own light (2- to 5-lb.) hand weights to strength+yoga fusion class.
YogaCore® - This YogaFit® signature workout focuses on creating a strong midsection, improved posture and greater balance. Using the YogaFit Core Ball, YogaCore follows the traditional fitness format of warm-up, work and cool down, as well as deep stretching and final relaxation. A strong core is crucial to any yoga practice. YogaCore is a wonderful way to work your entire core center - abs, lower back, glutes and hips. YogaFit Core Ball is provided.
